This December, the University of Pécs Student Government is organizing a special trip to the Croatian capital to enjoy the magical Christmas atmosphere of the city.
The city's famous Christmas Fair has been attracting visitors from all over the world for years, having won the title of "Europe's Best Advent Fair" three times between 2016 and 2018. During the Advent season, the streets and squares of Zagreb are transformed into a fairytale setting, with magical decorations, delicious hot drinks and local specialities around every corner.

Travel and details:
Departure from Pécs: 14 December 2024, 5:45 a.m. Gathering at Pécs Railway Station, then departure with the Zagreb Advent Express
Arrival in Zagreb: is expected at 11:25, so we'll arrive just in time to get into the Advent spirit.
Going back: At 17:00 we will meet at the main station in Zagreb, and at 17:18 the train will depart back to Pécs. Estimated time of arrival home is around 23:00.

Advent Fair and Christmas decorations - The fair starts in the town's main square, Jelačić Square, and as you walk through the streets you can discover local handicrafts, delicious food and hot drinks. The fair is guaranteed to captivate you with its beautiful decorations and festive atmosphere!
Skating rink on Tomislav Square - Spend some time skating on one of the most beautiful outdoor ice rinks in Europe! The skating experience, accompanied by music, creates a particularly festive atmosphere.
Gornji Grad (High Town) and Zagreb Cathedral - While sightseeing, explore the romantic narrow streets of the Upper Town, visit the beautiful Zagreb Cathedral and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Participation fee:
For PTE students in November 7500 HUF, and from the beginning of December 8500 HUF.
Non-PTE students can only travel together with a PTE student by purchasing a pair ticket. This pair ticket costs 22.500 HUF and includes two people.
The participation fee includes a return train ticket, a gift pack and a handy information booklet with useful tips for sightseeing and the fair.
